Assemblywoman Nellie Pou represents the 35th Legislative district encompassing parts of Passaic and Bergen Counties. She has been serving in the General Assembly since 1998. Assemblywoman Pou is currently the Assistant Business Administrator for the city of Paterson. She has served on the City of Paterson Department of Human Resources from 1983 to 1997, the Passaic-Bergen County HIV Health Services Advisory Council from 1993 to 1997 and she currently serves the N.J. Task

Force on Child Abuse and Neglect since 1997. In her tenure in the Assembly, she has served as Assistant Minority Leader from 2000-2001 and as Deputy Speaker from 2002-2005. Assemblywoman Pou is currently the Chair of the Appropriations Committee, and is on the Budget and Education Committees.
