
Born August 2, 1961, Mr. Fuentes received his Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from St. John Vianney College and Seminary in Miami, Florida. He is a patient relations representative for The Cooper Health System in Camden.
In addition to his committee assignments, Mr. Fuentes was appointed by the Speaker and Majority Leader to serve on the Joint Committee on Housing Affordability and the New Jersey Human Relations Council Executive Committee.
Before becoming an Assemblyman, Mr. Fuentes served as a member of the Camden City Council, representing the 4th Ward from 1994 to 2010 and serving as Council President from 2000 to 2010.
Mr. Fuentes has two children: Josuel Angel and Mariangelis; and is engaged to Nancy Ruiz, a teacher at Wiggins Elementary School.
Mr. Fuentes represents the 5th Legislative District, which includes the Camden County municipalities of Audubon, Barrington, Bellmawr, Brooklawn, Camden, Gloucester City, Haddon Heights, Hi-Nella, Lawnside, Magnolia, Mount Ephraim, Runnemede, Somerdale, Stratford, and Woodlynne; and the Gloucester County municipalities of Deptford, Westville, Woodbury and Woodbury Heights.
