
Joseph Malone III has been serving in the New Jersey General Assembly since 1993. He represents the 30th legislative district. Malone originally entered the Assembly after being selected to fill the remainder of Robert Singer’s unexpired 1992-93 term. He serves on the Budget Committee, Education Committee, Joint Budget Oversight Committee, and the Joint Committee on the Public Schools. Currently, Malone is the Republican Budget Officer, a position he has held since 2004. He was Assistant Majority Whip from 2000-2001. Malone’s public service experience also includes serving on the Bordentown Sewerage Authority, 1986-present, and Director of Public Works, 1973-1997. He has served as the director of post-secondary and adult education, as well as apprentice coordinator, at Somerset County Technical Institute in Bridgewater. He was the Mayor of Bordentown City for twenty years and then Deputy Mayor for four. Joe Malone received a B.S. from Trenton State College, (now The College of New Jersey), and a M.Ed. from Trenton State College in Industrial Education.
