Herb Conaway, M.D. is serving his fifth term in New Jersey's General Assembly. He represents the 7th District, which includes the Burlington County communities of Beverly, Burlington City, Burlington Township, Cinnaminson, Delran, Delanco, Edgewater Park, Florence, Maple Shade, Mount Holly, Palmyra, Riverside, Riverton, Westampton, and Willingboro, and the Camden County communities of Merchantville and Pennsauken. Assemblyman Conaway is Chairman of the Assembly Health and Senior Services Committee and is a member of the Assembly Appropriations Committee and the Assembly Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee. Assemblyman Conaway is the only member of the Legislature with both a medical and legal degree. Assemblyman Conaway began his career in public service in the medical corps as a United States Air Force Captain. He went on to serve as a general medical officer and as an assistant director of the Primary Care Clinic at the McGuire Air Force Base.
