 Democrat Gordon M. Johnson, of Englewood, was first elected to the New Jersey General Assembly on November 6, 2001.

Born December 16, 1949, Mr. Johnson received his Bachelor of Science in social science from St. Thomas Aquinas College; and his Master of Arts in administration and supervision from Seton Hall University. A Major in the United States Army Reserve, he works as a law enforcement consultant.

Mr. Johnson and his wife, Jacqueline, have three children: Stephanie, Brandon and Stephen; and a granddaughter, Brandi.

Mr. Johnson represents the 37th Legislative District, which includes the Bergen County municipalities of Bergenfield, Bogota, Englewood, Englewood Cliffs, Hackensack, Leonia, Maywood, Palisades Park, Ridgefield Park, Rochelle Park, Teaneck and Tenafly.
